PrachandaBhaktapur / Jan 4: CPN Chairperson and former Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said the medical grant being provided by the government to the disadvantaged people for treatment will be increased to Rs 500,000.

Inaugruating the 28th national assembly of the Nepal Cancer Relief Organization in Bhaktapur today, Chairperson Dahal claimed that none would die in lack of medical treatment expenses after the government’s decision to provide Rs 500,000 to people belonging to disadvantaged communities for treatment.

The government would distribute modern equipments required for the treatment of cancer patients in the hospitals, Dahal said, adding the government is taking necessary strides to provide treatment through convenient and ultra-modern equipments.

Chairperson Dahal also urged the concerned actors and stakeholders to run effective public awareness campaigns for the reduction of cancer disease.
