Nepal Medical Association to protest in Dr KC’s support
Kathmandu / Jan 19 : Nepal Medical Association (NMA), the umbrella organisation of medical and dental doctors in the country, has hinted at organising a protest programme in support of fasting surgeon Dr Govinda KC.
Issuing a press statement on Saturday, NMA demanded the government save the fasting surgeon’s life by addressing his demands. It has warned it would be forced to take unpleasant step if his demands were not met.
It has blamed the government being indifferent towards KC’s cause despite the surgeon reaching 11th day in his 16th hunger strike. It has also criticised the prime minister for his irresponsible remarks about made about KC’s demands.
