Minister Baskota vows to pass Medical Education Bill under any circumstances
Kathmandu / Jan 24: Minister for Communication and Information Technology Gokul Prasad Baskota has claimed that the parliament will endorse the Medical Education Bill at any cost on Friday.
Talking to journalists during a press briefing organized in Singha Durbar on Thursday, Minister Baskota asserted that the Medical Education Bill has addressed the demands of agitating Dr Govinda KC that is why his ongoing fast-unto-death has no relevance.
Meanwhile, Minister Baskota has accused the main opposition Nepali Congress of exhibiting undemocratic behaviours by barring the minister from tabling the Medical Education Bill in the parliament.
“The Medical Education Bill has been endorsed by the Parliamentary Education and Health Committee and that it will be endorsed through the due process,” Baskota said, reacting to the letter and appeal made by Dr KC to the lawmakers.
Baskota has urged the media to be positive about the Bill and disseminate good aspects of the Bill among the people.
