Main opposition NC stages nation-wide demonstration

Nepali CongressKathmandu / Feb 04: The main opposition Nepali Congress on Monday staged country wide demonstration accusing the government of going against democratic norms and imposing authoritarian attitude in matters of governance among others.

Addressing a mass at Kaski, former Health Minister Gagan Thapa said that the government has failed in all areas of governance.

“Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli is an untrustworthy person,” Thapa said, “He treats parliament as his ministries and is trying to trick judicial bodies and public service commission.”

Likewise, cadres of NC took out a protest rally shouting anti-government slogans in Panchthar in Province 1.

NC leaders in Panchthar accused the government of being unrestrained and autocratic in the use of authority; endorsing Medical Education Bill despite oppositions’ objection against democratic values, downplaying financial scam in wide-body aircraft procurement deal.
