Over 15,000 benefited from health camp in Rajbiraj

Rajbiraj / Feb 24: More than 15,000 people have been benefited with an 11-day health camp organised by the Ministry of Health and Population with the support of Nepal Army at Rajbiraj.

A total of 15,134 people — 6,368 men and 8,766 women — received various health services at the camp concluded on Saturday, said Major Amar Bahadur Thapa at Bhimdal Battalion of Nepal Army. Of them, 295 people underwent surgery.

According to Major Thapa said the camp also provided free medicine to the patients.

The camp also treated patients with various health problems as gallstone, kidney stone, piles, hernia and mental cases, said Brigadier General at the Nepal Army Medical College, Dr Sushil Rawat.

A team comprising 126 health workers and specialist doctors was mobilized for the same. RSS
