PHC endorses Thapaliya as Chief Election Commissioner

Kathmandu / Apr 17: A meeting of the Parliamentary Hearing Special Committee (PHSC) on Wednesday unanimously endorsed the name of Dinesh Thapaliya as the Chief Election Commissioner (CEC).
Similarly, the meeting also recommended the name of Bishnu Maya Ojha as a member of the Inclusion Commission.
According to the constitutional provision, the President will appoint the CEC following the endorsement by the PHSC based on the recommendation of the Constitutional Council.
