Kathmandu / August 15: A book titled ‘The Temperament of Nepal’ was released at the Embassy of Nepal in Beijing on Thursday.
Addressing the program, Ambassador of Nepal to China Leela Mani Paudyal lauded the Chinese authors’ attempt to highlight Nepal’s rich cultural and natural heritage through the book.
“I appreciate the authors’ efforts to disseminate information about Nepal’s tourism attractions among the Chinese people,” he said.
“In fact, Nepal was an abstract concept for us before going there,” Professor Yu said adding that he was deeply impressed by the magnificent beauty of Nepal.
“Nepal is rich in cultural heritage and it has its own glorious history,” he said. He also urged Chinese people to visit Nepal.
The book is in the Chinese language. It is penned by Chinese academicians Hu Yu, Wan Ningning, Shen Qinyi and Zhang Jinbao of Tsinghua University focusing on Nepal’s rich cultural and natural heritage.
The book published by China Youth Press is based on the experience of the Chinese academicians during their journey to Nepal in the summer of 2018.
