NCP secretariat meet decides to recommend leader Gautam for NA member
Kathmandu / Sept. 3: Central Secretariat member of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Bamdev Gautam has been chosen by the party to elect him as the member of the National Assembly.
Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, also a chairman of the NCP, made this clear in the meeting of the Central Secretariat held today at the Prime Minister’s residence in Baluwatar.
“The Prime Minister informed that meeting that the government would recommend leader Gautam with the President to appoint him as the member of National Assembly,” NCP spokesperson Narayan Kaji Shrestha said after the meeting.
The Secretariat meeting also discussed about the impact of COVID-19 pandemic in the country and expressed sorrow over the loss over the loss of life and property due to floods and landslides in the country.
Similarly, the meeting initiated preliminary discussion over the report of the task force formed to suggest ways to settle intra-party differences in the party.
Based on the report, Chairmen duo, PM Oli and Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ would prepare a proposal to present in the Standing Committee meet and then it would be refined as per the suggestions in the Standing Committee before adopting by the Secretariat, according to NCP spokesperson Shrestha.
