COVID-19 update: 1,674 new cases and 2,323 recoveries in 24 hours

Kathmandu, Nov, 21: The Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) on Saturday confirmed 1,674 new cases of COVID-19. The national COVID-19 tally has now reached 218,639.

“As many as 1,674 persons were found with the novel coronavirus infection in the last 24 hours,” said the MoHP in its daily update.

Currently, there are 24,009 active cases of COVID-19 and 757 persons, mostly those who had returned from abroad, are placed in quarantine.

Meanwhile, some 2,323 patients who were either receiving treatment in various institutional isolations or staying in home isolation recovered from the infection in the last 24 hours. Nepal has recorded 193,325 COVID-19 recoveries until now.

Moreover, seven patients succumbed to the novel coronavirus infection in the last 24 hours taking the nation’s COVID-19 death toll to 1,305.
