MoHP confirms 288 new cases of COVID-19
Kathmandu / Apr. 9: The Ministry of Health and Population on Friday confirmed 288 new cases of COVID-19, taking the nation’s novel coronavirus tally to 279,388.
“In 4,071 Real-Time Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) tests done in the last 24 hours, 288 persons were found infected with SARS-CoV-2,” informed the Health Ministry in the regular press briefing.
Currently, there are 2,615 active cases of COVID-19 across the nation and 84 people mostly those who had returned from abroad, are placed in quarantine.
Meanwhile, 127 COVID-19 patients receiving treatment in institutional isolation or staying in home isolation recovered from the infection in the last 24 hours. Nepal has now recorded 273,735 cases of recovery and the recovery rate is at 98 per cent.
No COVID-19 related fatalities were reported in the last 24 hours. Currently, the COVID-19 death toll is at 3,038.
