Preparations complete for presidential election, results likely by Thursday evening
Kathmandu / March 8: The Election Commission (EC) has said that the preparations for the presidential election have been completed.
Ram Chandra Poudel of the Nepali Congress and Subash Chandra Nembang of the CPN-UML are the two candidates for the presidency. According to the commission, voting will take place from 10AM to 3PM tomorrow.
Two polling stations have been created in the parliament building complex in New Baneshwar. One polling station has been built for the federal parliament and the other for the province assembly members.
Mobile phones are not allowed inside the polling station. If someone takes a mobile phone, it will be an election offense.
Election Officer Mahesh Sharma says, “The counting of votes will start from 4PM and the result will be announced at 7PM.”
