Lu discusses implementation of MCC projects with Foreign Minister Saud

Kathmandu / July 14: US Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asia Donald Lu discussed the implementation of the US grant project MCC with Foreign Minister NP Saud during a meeting held at the ministry on Friday afternoon.

During the meeting, the two leaders also discussed Nepal’s graduation from least developed countries to a developing country in 2026. Bilateral relations between the two countries and the continuation and increase of the assistance received from the US to Nepal were also discussed.

Foreign Minister Saud expressed his gratitude to Assistant Secretary Lu for the regular support received from the US and the special support received during the COVID-19 crisis.

On the occasion, Lu pledged the continued support of the United States to Nepal as its long-time development partner in fulfilling development aspirations.

During the meeting, he praised the contribution made by the Nepali community in America.

The topic of exchanging high-level visits was also discussed during the talks.
