Cabinet meeting will endorse federal civil servant Act: PM Prachanda

Kathmandu / Sept. 4: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has said that the government is making preparation to forward the federal civil servant Act to the parliament by endorsing it through the Cabinet meeting scheduled for Tuesday.

Speaking at the meeting of the National Assembly on Monday, PM Prachanda also shared that so far 191 Acts have been formulated including the new and the amended ones following the promulgation of the Constitution of Nepal 2072.

He said some 15 bills were under parliamentary processes at present.

The PM clarified that the Bill related to Education was halted for refining it as it was presented at the Council of Ministers in different way other than the main bill.

PM Prachanda said existing laws were made in accordance with the Constitution by means of Act to Amend Some Nepal Acts issued on different dates.

He said that process is underway to formulate laws relating to development works and about those rights listed as common of the federal, provincial and local levels as per the Constitution.

The government is making necessary homework to present in the House of Representatives (HoR) the bills that were tabled in the previous HoR but got inactive with the new HoR.
