UML organized festival reception; TJ laws to keep victims in centre: vows PM

Kathmandu / Nov. 01: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal and Nepali Congress (NC) President Sher Bahadur Deuba attended a tea reception today hosted by the CPN (UML) in celebration of Nepali festivals.

Party leaders, including Chair KP Sharma Oli, welcomed the Prime Minister and former Prime Minister at the reception taking place at the party’s central office in Chyasal, Lalitpur.

Similarly, House of Representatives (HoR) Speaker Devraj Ghimire, CPN (Unified Socialist) leader Jhalanath Khanal, CPN (Maoist Centre) leader Janardan Sharma, Rastriya Janamorcha’s Chair Chitra Bahadur KC, Communist Party of Nepal’s Netra Bikram Chand, and other leaders from various political parties, as well as people from different walks of life, attended the reception.”

Laws to be made on transitional justice keep victims in centre: PM Prachanda

Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has said the laws related to transitional justice would be made soon on the basis of political consensus and by keeping the victims in centre.

Talking to media persons at a tea reception organised by the CPN (UML) at the party headquarters on Wednesday, Prime Minister Prachanda shared that discussion with leaders of the major political parties on this issue had moved ahead in a positive way. He mentioned that he discussed with CPN (UML) Chairperson KP Sharma Oli and Nepali Congress President, Sher Bahadur Deuba, on the issue recently.

Similarly, Chairperson of the Rastriya Swatantra Party Rabi Lamichhane mentioned that political parties should be serious towards the country’s current situation.

He urged the political leaders to focus on the issue of common interest as country’s prosperity is the goal of all. RSS
