Nepal clean sweep Canada in ODI cricket series after Bhim Sharki and Anil Sah shine in today’s match
Kathmandu / Feb 12: Bhim Sharki and Anil Sah cracked a century each as Nepal defeated Canada by nine wickets in the final match of the one-day international bilateral series on Monday.
The hosts achieved the 233-run target with 33 balls to spare to clean sweep the series 3-0.
In the match held at the TU Cricket Ground, Sah scored not out 112 runs off 124 deliveries with 12 fours and two sixes. His batting partner Sharki made not out 101 runs off 129 balls, muscling 11 fours and a six.
Nepal invited Canada to bat first after winning the toss before restricting them to 232/8 in their allotted 50 overs. Debutant Hemant Dhami took three wickets, Kushal Malla grabbed two wickets, while Lalit Narayan Rajbanshi and Aakash Chand chipped in with a wicket each.
Canada batsman Navneet Dhaliwal top-scored with 50 runs off 83 balls, and Nikhil Dutta contributed 45 runs, while skipper Saad Bin Zafar scored 31.In reply, Nepal met the target of 233 in 45 overs with the loss of one wicket.Opener Ani
Sah was later awarded the man-of-the-match for his brilliant match-winning innings. Shahid Ahmadzai took one Nepali wicket of Kushal Bhurtel.
