Let’s Visit Bharatpur could be milestone in tourism promotion: PM Prachanda; Bharatpur has immense potentials for tourism: Oli

Kathmandu / Mar. 1: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has said that the Visit Bharatpur Year (VBY) could be a milestone in promoting tourism of the country and boost the tourism sector.

Inaugurating the VBY, 2024, with slogan ‘Let’s Visit Bharatpur’ ceremony held at the Narayani River beach in Bharatpur, PM Prachanda also expressed his belief that the visit year will contribute significantly to develop Chitwan as a commercial center.

The Prime Minister mentioned that Chitwan has a history of foreign dignitaries visiting this place for hunting for 150 years. “Besides this, there are many bases that make me confident that Visit Bharatpur Year will achieve its goals.”

Referring to the way qualitative changes have taken place in Bharatpur, PM Prachanda said Bharatpur Metropolis has been leading the country with regard to development model for the last seven years.

He said Bharatpur will establish new standard once the ongoing pride projects such as the Ring Road, six-lane road, embankment, City Hall, Gautam Buddha International Stadium, Narayani sea beach are completed.

Meanwhile, CPN (UML) Chairperson and former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has asserted that Bharatpur is a city having immense potential for tourism development.

Addressing the inaugural session of Bharatpur Visit Year 2024 at Narayani River banks today, Chair Oli shared that Bharatpur has become a city of a beautiful mix of people migrated from different areas of the country and indigenous nationalities of the district.

He clarified, “Chitwan is a city having immense potential of tourism. I had forwarded a plan of a waterways route to connect Bengal via Narayani and Koshi seeing immense potentials of tourism here. The private sector has now constructed infrastructure of water tourism in rivers including Narayani as per this plan.”

The UML Chair mentioned that he supported forwarding the activities related to the construction of the Assembly Hall, six-lane road, and postal road for the development of Bharatpur.

Sharing that Bharatpur could be developed as the center of agriculture, education and health, he expressed commitment that he and his party would always support for the development of Bharatpur.RSS
