‘Perform duties more actively as per changed situation’
Kathmandu / Mar. 10: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has directed the public servants to perform duties more actively as per the changed situation.
The PM said so while instructing the government officers at the half-yearly review meeting of the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers (OPMCM) today.
He informed the officers that a common minimum programme of the new ruling partners will be made public soon and urged them to follow the document.
“The policy and programme to be brought forth will be the guide line for our office, offices and agencies under it and the whole of the bureaucracy,” said PM Prachanda, “It will be much or less close to the previous programmes and it will come soon. We all have to implement it accordingly,” according to the secretariat of the PM.
He pointed at the need of monthly review of work performance of the OPMCM and offices under it and instructed to make provision for work schedule on national pride projects.
He remarked that the performance of the OPMCM has not been satisfactory although it had to be role model for others.
“Target should be achieved in the given timeframe. For this, our office should play a role of the leadership. For this all should be more cautious. As this OPMCM is also a monitoring body, all the secretaries and divisions need work more actively,” said the PM.
The PM said the OPMCM and offices under it should achieve at least 80 per cent progress in the work performance by year end and directed all to keep this in mind and focus on work accordingly.
