Govt. to replace province Chief in three provinces
Kathmandu / March 11: The government has decided to replace the Chief of Province in Gandaki, Madhes and Sudurpaschim Provinces. Accordingly, the existing Chiefs have been removed and new appointments have been made.
The meeting today of the Council of Ministers decided to recommend Sumitra Bhandari as the Chief in Madhes, Dilliraj Bhatt in Gandaki and Nazir Miyan in Sudur Paschim, according to Minister of Communications and Information Technology and Government Spokesperson Rekha Sharma. They will replace Harishankar Mishra in Madhes, Prithviman Gurung in Gandaki and Devraj Joshi in Sudur Paschim respectively.
The cabinet that met at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers at Singha Durbar, formed committees of the Council of Ministers and appointed coordinators to the committees. Accordingly, the Prime Minister is the coordinator of the political committee, the deputy prime minister and the minister of physical infrastructure and transport the Coordinator of the economic infrastructure committee, the deputy prime minister and the home minister the coordinator of the bill committee, the deputy prime minister and the foreign minister the coordinator of the administration committee and the deputy prime minister and the minister of health and population the coordinator of the social committee.
Speaking to the media after the meeting, Minister Sharma said the parties in the ruling coalition parties have agreed to make the candidate nominated by the CPN (Maoist Center) victorious in the election to be held for the post of the National Assembly Chairperson. As part of the power sharing deal among the coalition partners, the post of National Assembly Chairperson went to the Maoist Center. RSS
