Rs 635.7 mln revenue collected from mountaineering in two months

Kathmandu / May 2: The revenue of Rs 635 million has been collected from March 1 to April 29 from the mountain summit.

According to the report released by the Department of Tourism, the revenue of Rs 635,781,251 was collected from taking permission to ascend 30 different mountains from March 1 to April 29.

Section officer at the Department of Tourism Dilip Kumar Maharjan said that the largest revenue of Rs 558 million has been collected from Mount Everest alone.

915 people of the 102 ascend team have taken permission to summit the mountain from the Department of Tourism from March 1 to April 29.
