Government working to make foreign jobs more secure: Minister Aryal
Kathmandu / July 5: Minister for Labour, Employment and Social Security, Dol Prasad Aryal, has said the government has pursued policies and programmes to make foreign employment more secure, systematic, and productive.
In his address to lawmakers’ concerns over the Appropriation Bill-2081 BS in the National Assembly today, the Minister said efforts are going on to make foreign jobs dignified.
He pledged to promote job opportunities and healthy labor relations within the country through the implementation of the budget, police, and programmes for the upcoming fiscal year.
Exploration of opportunities in the productive sector, promotion of labour rights, the building of a decent working atmosphere, and the effective implementation of contribution-based social securities are among the priorities of the government, according to the labor minister.
He took time to inform the upper house that the Integrated Labour and Employment Service (Operation and Management) Procedure, 2080 BS has been endorsed and integrated services regarding labour and employment are being provided at the local level.
According to the Minister, labour councilors and labour attaches have been deployed in Qatar, Malaysia, the UAE, the Saudi Arabia, South Korea, Bahrain, Kuwait and Oman.
The government has signed a new labour agreement with Germany and Romania, he added, pledging to establish the National Vocational Training Academy. RSS
