SC issues show cause order on Kulman Ghising’s writ petition

Kathmandu / March 28: The Supreme Court has issued a show cause order regarding the writ petition filed by the outgoing Managing Director of the Nepal Electricity Authority, Kulman Ghising.
A single bench of Justice Abdul Aziz Musalman, which is hearing the writ petition, issued the show cause order.
Ghising had filed the writ petition seeking a final order from the apex court against the government’s decision to remove him from his post.
The Supreme Court has asked the government to submit a written reply and has scheduled a discussion on the matter for March 31.
In a recent Cabinet meeting, Hitendra Dev Shakya was appointed to replace Ghising, who was dismissed four months before his retirement. RSS
