PM Oli visits flood-hit areas, commits to start rebuilding immediately

Bidur Acharya / Melamchi, July 10: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has inspected the flood-damaged Helambu area today.

Prime Minister has reached Ganesh Bagar of Helabmu Village Municipality-2 in a Nepal Army helicopter. After reaching Helambu, the Prime Minister met the flood victims and inspected the flood-hit areas.

He said that the temporary shelters of the locals displaced by the floods would be rebuilt immediately.

“The government will provide Rs 50,000 for temporary housing and Rs 500,000 for permanent housing for the flood victims,” ​​PM said, urging the government not to delay in formulating a systematic policy to rebuild.

He informed that a technical team has arrived in Helambu along with him to construct the bridges immediately.

Prime Minister Oli handed over 20 million rupees from the Melamchi Drinking Water Development Committee to the flood-hit Helambu Rural Municipality.

On the occasion, Prime Minister Oli met with the Melamchi Drinking Water Source Area in Helambu and the flood-affected areas.
