MoHP reports 305 New Cases of COVID-19, 181 in Kathmandu Valley
Kathmandu / Nov. 24: The Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) on Wednesday confirmed 305 new cases of COVID-19.
According to Dr. Samir Kumar Adhikari, assistant-spokesperson at the MoHP, a total of 305 people were found infected with the virus in 7,590 RT-PCR tests carried out in the last 24 hours.
Similarly, the infection was detected in 27 people in 2,330 antigen tests done in the last 24 hours.
With this, the nation’s COVID-19 tally through the RT-PCR test has reached 820,004 and that through the antigen test has reached 95,397.
Of the new infections, 181 were reported in the Kathmandu Valley including 144 in Kathmandu, 11 in Bhaktapur, and 26 in Lalitpur. “All three districts of the Valley are at high risk of COVID-19,” said Adhikari.
Currently, there are 7,369 active cases of COVID-19. Of them, are 206 admitted to the ICU and four are under treatment with the ventilator facility.
Meanwhile, 232 people have recovered from the infection in the last 24 hours, according to the MoHP. The nation has recorded 801,122 cases of recovery till today and the recovery rate stands at 97.7.
A total of four people succumbed to COVID-19 in the period taking the national COVID-19 death tally to 11,513.
Dr. Adhikari further informed that a total of 147,262 received the anti-coronavirus jab in the last 24 hours.
