Govt decides to introduce an ordinance to amend nine acts; transfers Secretary Marasini to Finance Ministry

Kathmandu / April 22: The government has decided to introduce an ordinance to amend several Nepal Acts related to investment facilitation. In a meeting of the Council of Ministers held on Monday, it was decided to submit this ordinance to the President for issuance.

A total of nine acts will be amended through this ordinance. According to sources, the Lands Act of 2021 BS, National Parks and Wildlife Conservation Act of 2028 BS, Land Acquisition Act of 2034 BS, Electronic Transactions Act of 2063 BS, Special Financial Act of 2073 BS, and Public Private Partnership and Investment Act of 2075 BS are among those to be amended.

Similarly, the Foreign Investment and Technology Transfer Act of 2075 BS, Forests Act of 2076 BS, and Industrial Enterprises Act of 2076 BS will also undergo amendments through this ordinance, sources said.

Govt decides to transfer Secretary Marasini to finance ministry

Meanwhile, the government has decided to appoint Secretary Madhu Kumar Marasini as the secretary of the Ministry of Finance. The Cabinet meeting held today decided to transfer Secretary Marasini to the Ministry of Finance.

He was suspended after a corruption case was filed at the Special Court in the payment gateway irregularity case. But after the court acquitted him, his suspension was lifted. RSS
