Aid to 500,000 earthquake survivors

Laprak-gorkhaKathmandu / Oct 26: World Vision Nepal has extended its assistance to 500,000 earthquake survivors of 10 districts in the country.

Issuing a press release on Tuesday, World Vision shared that it had provided humanitarian aid to the earthquake-affected people of all three districts of Kathmandu Valley (Kathmandu, Lalitpur and Bhaktapur), Sindhuli, Lamjung, Dhading, Dolakha, Gorkha, Nuwakot and Sindhupalchowk districts.

Nepal National Director of World Vision International Liz Satow informed that the organization provided support to the quake survivors of 10 districts mainly in the areas of health, nutrition, education, drinking water, sanitation, residence and livelihood.

Satow further stated that their future support would be in the area of promoting social entrepreneurship to enhance the status of women and children. RSS
