Schoolbooks supplied to Jumla and across the country before new academic year


Jumla / April 12: A mountainous district in Karnali Province, Jumla, has already got the schoolbooks for new academic year thanks to timely printing and supply.

The new academic year is beginning on New Year Day, 2082. Suman Khadka, proprietor of the Sandhya Stationery at district headquarters, Khalanga, informed that the textbooks for the school had already arrived in the district, ensuring timely supply of books to the students.

The textbooks for Grade 1 to 5 were brought to the district headquarters for the new academic year. Eight schools received books, while some were yet to secure them. As the teachers are in protest and out of the district, only a few schools took the books, Khadka added.

The JP Stationery, the Sandhya Stationery, the Darpan Stationery, Karnali Stationery and the Dipkailash Stationery in the district have been supplying textbooks to the community schools in the district. There are a total of 145 community schools in the district, according to the Education Development and Coordination Unit.

Meanwhile, the Janak Education Materials Center, the authorized printer and distributor of the school textbooks, informed that printing of textbooks for the new academic year has been completed and the textbooks have already been delivered to all 77 districts across the country. In the past, students used to face problems sometimes as the textbooks used to arrive in the middle of the academic sessions, especially in remote areas. (RSS)
